0715 - Protestant Devotions in the Crew's Lounge.

0730 - Catholic Rosary Service in the Crew's Lounge.

0745 - Officer's call.

0750 - Quarters for muster and inspection.

0800 - Full Dress Ship. (See Note #1).

0815 - Turn to.

0900 - Blood donors report to Sick Bay (See Note #2).

1000 - Early liberty for Filipinos.

1130 - Liberty for FIRST & SECOND Section to expire on the dock 0100, 31 December 1953.

1200 - (About) Fire 21 gun salute following motions of U.S.S. SALISBURY SOUND.

1900 - Special Entertainment by Filipino "MAMBO COMBO" on the fantail (See Note #3).


NOTES:

1. In honor of the Inauguration of the new President of the Republic of the Philippines the ship will Full Dress Ship and fire a 21 gun salute at the 
appropriate time following the motions of the SOPA. Be ready for the salute anytime after 1100.



2. The response to the Blood Drive was most encouraging. More than 150 men signed up and since there were more donors than could be 
handled yesterday, the drive will be continued this morning. If you still want to get in on this worthy cause all you need do is report to Sick Bay 
after 0900 today. A gala party at the San Miguel Brewery has been arranged for all donors commencing1300 tomorrow, Thursday, 31 
December. Blood donation cards will entitle you to admission. Buses will meet the party at the Fleet Landing, Manila at 1300. A special boat 
trip, with the LCU leaving the ship at 1230, will transport the party to the landing. All donors will be entitled to attend.



3. A Filipino "MAMBO COMBO" will provide native music on the fantail from 1900 to 2000 tonight before the movie. The players, whose 
ages run from 7 to 17, will perform using home made instruments.



4. Division officers submit number of luminous buttons missing from their spaces to First Lieutenant. Negative report required.
