The pool is at the Manila Hotel. I believe the Navy set it up to keep sailors out of trouble. There were many English speaking girls at the dance.
The 2 girls at the table with me and "someone" were school teachers.
The event was televised and Shepler who had some radio experience was allowed to be a camera man. Maybe because we gave them a final stage tube for their TV transmitter.
The station had money but was limited as to how much they could spend out of the country.
