Up keep and recreation - all departments concentrating on (a) correction of faults found in Inter-Departmental Administrative Inspection; (b) correction of discrepancies found in Material Inspection Report, (c) major upkeep work, (d) planning for “Required” exercises.

0730 - (about) Moor buoy ONE, Hong Kong.

Receive Boarding Officials.
Be prepared for official calls on Monday

III Departmental Projects (additional to Section I above)

Executive

Continue work on Cruise Book.
Arrange and conduct sight-seeing tours.
Religious activities:

0715 daily - Protestant Devotional service.
0730 daily - Catholic Rosary service.
1000 Tue, Wed, Thur - Character Guidance Lecture Series.
1100 daily - Men's Chorus rehearsal.

Engineering:

a. Take thrust readings, all engines and inspect reduction gears.
b. Inspect zincs on all heat exchangers - replace as needed.
c. Paint bilges - steering Engine Room.
d. Continue inventory Diesel spares and tools.
e. Progressive maintenance all auxiliary machinery, #1 and #4 firerooms.
f. Inventory of gas masks and protective clothing.

Operations:

Touch-up painting and general cleaning in all spaces.
Major maintenance routine, all electrical equipment.
Briefing and instruction for required exercises CCL-1 and CCL-3, and Communications Exercise.

Supply:

a. Continue purification of inventory program.
b. Continue special clothing program - remarking and issue to remaining departments.

Ship's Store Group:

a. Complete plans for chinaware and storeware display on departure Hong Kong.
b. Review stock for slow-moving items.

Commissary Group:

a. Insure that necessary vouchers are received to comply with accounting requirements for passengers meals.

Gunnery:

Major maintenance routine, all batteries.
Divisions concerned scrub exterior paint work in both superstructures.
Clean from directors down.

Navigation:

Concentrate in pilot house, chart house, and open bridge to improve appearance.
