These photos were taken the evening of 7 December 2016 on board the USS MISSOURI BB-63
at a most historic location on the Surrender Deck. They are not perfect because my small camera
does not do well in low light conditions. But there is a good reason for this.

Susan, Lou, Helen and me left the Moana Surfrider Hotel at 1430 hours on 7 December 2016.
Our driver took us and two members of the staff, Becky and Stephen, to the area close to the
Pearl Harbor Visitors Center.

The other members of the tour departed on their buses at 1500 hours and headed to Ford Island.
While there, they visited the USS Oklahoma and USS Utah Memorial sites as well as
the Pacific Aviation Museum.

My guess is that their tour of the USS Missouri was the last thing they did that afternoon.
Never did think of asking this question.

It was dark when those of us who had been at the Dual Interment Ceremony at the
USS Arizona Memorial boarded our small bus.
The US Naval Observatory web site states that twilight ended at 1814 hours.
These pictures were taken around 1850 hours, based upon the accuracy of my camera's data.

We were in a bit of a hurry because the reception on board the battleship was winding down with
the farewell banquet due to start shortly thereafter.
