Subject: PEARL HARBOR SURVIVORS TO SPEAK FRIDAY DEC 7th IN BARTOW
U.S. CIVIL AIR PATROL SQUADRON FL-274 AND THE CITY OF BARTOW WILL PRESENT THE ACCOUNTS OF THREE PEARL HARBOR SURVIVORS THIS FRIDAY DEC. 7th AT THE FLIGHTLINE GRILL LOCATED INSIDE THE NEW TERMINAL AT THE BARTOW MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. THE PROGRAM WILL BEGIN AT 6:45 P.M. AND WILL FEATURE LONGTIME BARTOW RESIDENT COMMANDER BOB FRY, FORMER BARTOW RESIDENT CHARLIE SWAIN, AND CHARLES McCLELLAND OF ZEPHYR HILLS AS WELL AS A SMALL DISPLAY OF ARTIFACTS.
THE EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND IS FREE OF CHARGE. THOSE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING ARE ENCOURAGED TO ARRIVE EARLY AND ENJOY DINNER AT THE FLIGHTLINE BEFORE AND DURING THE PROGRAM.

Happy Veterans Day! Old Dad went back to sea Saturday for Veterans Day.
It was a cruise on the S.S. American Victory for 8 1/2 hours in the Gulf of Mexico. Charlie aka Bill

Launched in June 1945 the ship saw duty in WW II and the Vietnam War.
