Keelung, Taiwan, (now spelled Chi-lung)

Sketch by FEHN '58

Street life in Keelung

We climbed steps to find this temple at the top.

KEELUNG. . . .
Which we thought must have become our home port. A
crowed, bustling city, we willnever forget its ominous clouds
of rain . . .its striking oders . .the rough-riding liberty boats
the jostling pedicabs. . . .now only for reminiscences.

Chinese Hot Dogs?

"Now liberty will commence at 1066
for the port watch to expire on the
fleet landing at 2000. The ship
expects to get underway at 2200."

You lika-a some flesh dlied squid"

We didn't think Taiwan was much of a colorful place but . . .

The number one attraction
