LIFE HERE VARIES FROM THE FABULOUS WEALTH OF THE WORLD TRADERS
TO THE POVERTY OF ANY OF THOUSANDS OF FISHING FAMILIES, EITHER
EXTREME LYING BEYOND THE RANGE OF NORMAL WESTERN COMPREHENSION.

of colors in her bargain centers and throughtout the island

built as a lesson in morality by a wealthy Chinese manufacture of herb tonics and medicines

the village of Aberdeen, a few miles around the other side of the island, is resting place for thousands of
familes whose only home is their tiny boat . . . who subsist on yearly incomes of what we earn in a single week

there were many sights of interest for us



but we ourselves were the big attraction for residents of Hong Kong
