Land of a lush tropical sun, of
handsome and hardy people
and of exciting scenery, Hawaii
is always an eagerly awaited
stopover.Here began our
countless tours in overseas ports,
and waiting limousines whisked
Helenamen to points high and low
where cameras clicked furiously,
recording the scenes for the stay-
at-homes. If not touring, we were
most surely sunning on the beach
at Waikiki. At night, the sounds
of Arthur Lyman or the Kingston
Trio floated through the clear air.
Here we found paradise lost.
