Picture taken about December 1940 with a coin operated camera in a booth. Rating was an "Apprentice Seaman".
At $21.00 month for the first 4 months then went to Seaman 2nd class at $36.00 a month.
I had turned 17 in October 1940 and joined in November 1940.



The three McClelland brothers home on leave & furlough summer 1942.
L to R James (Little Mac), John (US Army) and Charles (Big Mac).
John died February 28, 2010 at 91.
